Welcome to Nant Heddwch. This building has been many things in its near 200 year lifetime including a mill, a village post office and even an infamous 1970s night club. Today, it is the home of Wellness Wales. There are up to 7 spacious bedrooms for use accommodating as little numbers as you wish and up to as many as 18 people in communal-style rooms. Each has a striking view of the rugged Snowdonian mountains, rolling farmland or the glistening Irish Sea. The space has two large work rooms/dining rooms, two lounges, pilates studio, sauna, massage room, large kitchen and walled garden. If it is helpful, we can do the catering as well as offer sessions of Breathwork, Meditation and Massage for your retreat.
Space to move, dine and connect.
The dining room has beautiful, arched windows looking out over farmland and the Irish Sea in the distance. It has many set ups available from purely being a dining room (able to accommodate up to 20 people around three tables, a lounge and dining room or completely clear for up to 15 mats. The floor is solid and strong and the beautifully lit up by candles in the evening.
Reconnect and Restore
The Breath Room also has multiple layouts. Some wish for it to be a lounge for 1st floor guests, others request for it to be emptied completely so it can be used as another work room. It is a perfect space for yoga, mat pilates, workshops, teaching and lectures. There is also a small kitchen with tea making facilities.
Rest and Nourish
The lounge is one of the favourite rooms in the building. With a log fire, large rug and seating for 10, it tends to feature as the main hang out area. It also makes for a beautiful meditation space.
Peace and quiet
Nant Heddwch has 8 bedrooms in total. Each is spacious and has its own seating area for those wishing to spend time reading and connecting with themselves. 6 bedrooms are ensuite, two have access to a large master bathroom and two have walk in wardrobes. Each room has different layouts depending on your needs. The standard layout includes a king or large double bed in each room (for up to 14 people sharing). Alternatively, given their size, we have a collection of extra single beds that can be added to rooms so that the space is able to accommodate 20 people in communal style rooms.
For those wishing to run retreats smaller than 5 people, speak to us about how we can reduce the size of the house down to help it feel more contained and cost effective.
The Heart of the House and Catering for your retreat.
Should you want to prepare your retreat's meals, our kitchen is large and well provided for with appliances and utensils as well as all the plates, cutlery, mugs and glasses you need. Along side ample kitchen top surfaces, there is a large dining room table and american style fridge freezer.
For those wanting support with this, we are able to do the catering for you for a very reasonable cost. Though simple, our menu options are delicious and can be made more (or less healthy) depending on the needs of your retreat.
We are happy to source you a local chef if you would prefer something more specialist.
Bike activity storage and potential dining area.
Should your retreat guests have bikes, or if you need to store large apparatus such as blow up sup boards and kayaks, the snug is our go-to room. Just off the kitchen, it offers a large and safe space to store things that are needed. It also serves as a decent sized dining room should the other dining rooms be used as work spaces.
De stress and unwind
Our massage room is predominantly used by Sam for his private clients and our own retreats but it is a great room to use should you or someone from your team do their own bodywork. It is private and located on the ground floor for easy access to everyone that needs it.
Space to work out.
Your guests are welcome to use our gym. It has a good selection of equipment helping to support cardiovascular, strength and stretch training.
For fresh air and alfresco dining
Surrounded by a solid stone wall, our garden is large and relatively private space of wild lawn and mowed pathways. There is a fire pit and space for alfresco dining. During the summer months, we grow some of our own vegetables and salad for use in the kitchen.
Right on the door step
The land on which Nant Heddwch sits is right on the border edges of Eryri (Snowdonia National Park) so, the moment you step out of its back garden and take the paths on either side, you find yourself in the Park and with multiple pathways to enjoy the rugged views. Craig y Garn is the mountain that our back garden looks up to. With multiple pathways up (for the fit as well as not so fit), it makes for a beautiful view point to take in the Llyn Peninsula, the Irish Sea, Cwm Pennant and Yr Wyddfa (aka Snowdon) in the distance.
For those wanting skilled Bodywork
Should you and your guests wish, you are welcome to make use of our resident sports masseur. Trained in Sports Massage to ITEC level 3 and with over five years of bodywork experience, Sam uses (near psychic) assessment and intuition to heal scar tissue, improve function and restore alignment.
Extra activities and support you can use
Should it be helpful to you on your retreat, ask Oliver James about leading a session for your clients.
He is able to support both private and group work of breathwork, active meditation, somatic psychotherapy and pilates.
If you have clients with specific accessibility requirements, get in contact to see how we can help.
Where possible, all cleaning products are eco-friendly and food locally sourced. We have also removed ALL non reusable plastic.
You can hire this venue for £1000 per night. If you book before the end of May, we are happy to provide the meals for your retreat at no extra charge.
If you would like to run a retreat for less than 5 people, get in contact to find out our discounted prices and how the building can be made bigger and smaller depending on your needs budget.
