Climate

The summer and winter seasons offer varying land/sea conditions and air temps

January-June is a great time; temperatures are generally in the high 20s-low 30s, clear blue skies with occasional heavy downpours, calm and warm seas. Great star gazing ops in this season and firepit.
July-December is our cool season, generally with misty starts to the mornings, cooler sea temperatures and more choppy waters. Air temperatures are between 18 and 25 degrees. This is top tortoise season and this is the season you can most likely spot whales and dolphins on the day boat tours. And, after a long day out exploring, you would return to the cool of the hotel and a welcoming log fire.
There is really no bad time to visit Galapagos, although we have generally found October/November and January/February retreats more popular as people are escaping the northern hemisphere cold.

Pricing

Cost and Teacher/Group Leader Benefits

Our net prices are designed to be accessible, to allow tour leaders to add their margin. All the same, this is not a cheap destination due to the logistical costs of supplying an island community. But, it is somewhere that almost everyone would like to visit at some point in their lives and are therefore prepared to pay a little more.
Good earning potential and free hotel and itinerary if minimum numbers are met. For exact prices and teacher benefits, please contact us.
All in all, we offer the best value for money option for a comprehensive and complete yoga retreat experience in the Galapagos Islands; in some cases double the teacher earnings that you would get through other yoga agencies running trips to Galapagos, and as such a much more accessible price for your student.

Wheelchair access to ground floor bedrooms.

Eco Practices

The property comprises five hectares (twelve acres) of reforested woodland (Scalesia pedunculata an endangered, endemic tree) with organic, shade grown coffee growing underneath. We are tortoise friendly as we leave large areas of vegetation for them to feed on, holes in the fence line for them to walk through, and two natural ponds for them to drink from. Many endemic birds and bats visit the property. We have the Galapagos National Park certification for eco practices.

Directions and Travel

Your group will firstly fly to mainland Ecuador (South America) and then take a domestic flight to the Galapagos Islands. You may choose to arrive on mainland Ecuador in the capital city, Quito (UIO), or Guayaquil (GYE) - and from there take a 1 hour 40 minute flight to Baltra Island (GPS) that serves Santa Cruz Island. Avianca and LATAM offer daily flights to Galapagos.
We will meet you at the airport on Baltra and accompany you back to the hotel via a 20 minute bus ride, 10 minute ferry and 30 minute taxi ride. Private airport transfers are all included in the package price.
